Rainbow Zebra Print
This design is cute and pretty simple even with unsteady hands. You can use almost any combination of colors. Personally I think neons work best. The colors I used were: China Glaze Rose Among Thorns, China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise, Sinful Colors Fly Away, Sinful Colors 24/7 ( not shown sorry!), Sally Hansen HD LCD, iQue Yellow (not sure of name), Kiss Brush On Nail Art Paint in Black, with of course base and top coat. You will also need a cosmetic sponge.

Start off with base and a coat of white on your nails. This is just to ensure that the colors appear as they do in the bottle. Then using the cosmetic sponge place splotches of the colors you chose on your nail. Its okay if they overlap or are messy.

Then I added a thin coat of Sally Hansen HD LCD for depth. If you have a sheer glittery pink you can do this step too. Then create your zebra print. Add top coat and you're done! Sorry for the mess I hadn't cleaned up my nails yet.

Silver Leopard Print
This design is pretty simple and looks even better with a steady hand (sadly I haven't acquired those skills). I used Sally Hansen Maximum Nail Growth Clear as base, then 2 coats of OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous, white to make dots, Kiss Brush On Nail Art in Black, & finally a thick coat of Seche Vite.

After the base and 2 coats of OPI apply random dots of white. They do not have to be perfect and can be blobs and uneven. When the dots are dryoutline them in circles, and opened circles. Then apply your top coat and you are done!
Blue & Yellow
Well this is just a really simple & cute design that I was playing around with and decided to do a tutorial on it. Well the colors I used were (from left to right): Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Clear as base, Sally Hansen InstaDri Lightening, Sinful Colors Fly Away, & of course my handy dandy Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
The Results Are In...
So last Tuesday I started my one week nail growth experiment using NutraNail Growth Formula With Green Tea & Acai Berry Antioxidants & NutraNail Thickener With Green Tea. I've tried this routine religiously twice a day for one week and I can honestly say it has not failed me. My nails have grown quicker than usual with the exception of a few stubborn nails and they feel stronger. The darker image is my before picture (please excuse the poor lighting) and the brighter pictures are my after. In the middle of the week I managed to hack off a chunk of my index finger on my left hand with a knife while cutting meat. =( Clumsy of me right? Other than that I think the results are pretty good.

Crackle Combos from Cosmopolitan Magazine

1 Week Nail Growth
So a terrible tragedy occurred a few nights ago where I was a nervous wreck. Unconsciously, I bit all my nails down to the nail bed =(. So I've filed, shaped, and buffed my nails into short bundles of bareness. I know it could've been worse but this is really bringing down my mood. It feels so weird having short nails. My nails weren't long before but they were at a comfortable length. Well I'm trying to grow them back using NutraNail Growth Formula with Green Tea & Acai Berry Antioxidants. You apply it to your nails, cuticles, & underneath your nails, then you massage it in for about 5 seconds twice a day. You can use it on bare nails or right over your nail polish which I think is very convenient. The first thing I noticed was this was more like a serum than actual nail polish. It also has a great smell. I've decided to use it over 2 coats of NutraNail Nail Thickener with Green Tea. I'll try using this routine for a week and I'll show the end results next Tuesday.

Rainbow Design Tutorial
This design is great for those who have shorter nails. Here are the simple steps to doing a rainbow design.
2.Make clouds using a dotting tool or if you don't have one you can simply use a bobby pin.Don't worry if they aren't perfect especially since real clouds aren't either.

3. Next you want to make curved strips of the colors:blue, yellow, and red(in that order) on your nails.

4. Apply top coat and your ready to go!!

Hope you enjoy!!!

Jaycee Dugard
Watching the Jaycee Dugard special on ABC and I must say it breaks my heart to see this. To have your innocence and youth taken away from you because of someone's sick demented needs. What sucks the most is that she was just on her way to school minding her own business. Personally I believe that child abusers, molesters, predators, pedophiles, sex offenders, and the many other wrong doers against children should be sentenced for life once convicted. Its just wrong what they do to these children. Its disgusting and sick. Whats even worse is that law officials visited the home on several occasions but just completely looked over her. We need to be more cautious with the children in our lives and teach them to be more aware of strangers and their surroundings because no child should have to go through such a nightmare. So if you see something odd or strange you shouldn't be afraid to call or report it. You could be saving someone.
Nautical French Manicure
So I was looking through last month's (June 2011) Cosmopolitan Magazine and stumbled my way upon these really cute nail designs. So I thought I have to try these cause they looked adorable. I started off with this one...
Well I didn't have all the polishes listed so i just used similar ones that I had. I started off with NutraNail Nail Thickener with Green Tea as my base. Bought it from my local Rite Aid for around $6. Then I applied two coats of Sinful Colors Euro Trash which was only $2 at a beauty supply store. I let that dry and used a French manicure tip guide to create a thick white stripe of L.A. Colors Art Deco White about 1/3- 1/2 of the way down my nails since their short. Just don't cover the tips of your nails. From there I applied China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint to the tips. The width of the stripes is completely up to you. Once I was done with that I added a thick coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat which made it feel dry to the touch in about 5 minutes. That stuff is amazing but I would recommend using it in a well ventilated area due to the smell. It also contains toluene which may cause some harmful effects. These were the end results.
